And they live amongst us

They Walk Among Us

IDIOTS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD: I live in a semi-rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the Deer Crossing sign on our road. The reason: "too many deer were being hit by cars" and he didn't want them to cross there anymore. This one was from Kingman, KS.

_______________________________________________________

IDIOTS IN FOOD SERVICE: My daughter went to a local Taco Bell and ordered a taco. She asked the person behind the counter for "minimal lettuce." He said he was sorry, but they only had iceberg. And he was a Kansas City chef!

_______________________________________________________

IDIOT SIGHTING: I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked, "Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge? To which I replied, "If it was without my knowledge, how would I know? He smiled knowingly and nodded, "That's why we ask." Happened in Birmingham, Ala.

_______________________________________________________

IDIOT SIGHTING: The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine when she asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, "What on earth are blind people doing driving?!" She was a probation officer in Wichita, KS

_______________________________________________________

IDIOT SIGHTING: At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear coworker who was leaving the company due to "downsizing," our manager commented cheerfully, "This is fun. We should do this more often." Not a word was spoken. We all just looked at each other with that deer-in-the-headlights stare. This was a bunch at Texas Instruments.

_______________________________________________________

IDIOT SIGHTING: I work with an individual who plugged her power strip back into itself and for the life of her couldn't understand why her system would not turn on. A deputy with the Dallas County Sheriff's office no less.

_______________________________________________________

IDIOT SIGHTING: When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the d oor handle and discovered that it was unlocked. "Hey," I announced to the technician, "it's open!" To which he replied, "I know - I already got that side." This was at the Ford dealership in Canton, Mississippi!

PARENTS,BEWARE!!,who your children are talking to online!!,PROTECT them from child predators by EDUCATING them about what a sick world we live in!!

Shannon could hear the footsteps behind her as she walked toward home. The thought of being followed made her heart beat faster. "You're being silly, she told herself, "no one is following you." To be safe, she began to walk faster, but the footsteps kept up with her pace. She was afraid to look back and she was glad she was almost home. Shannon said a quick prayer, "God please get me home safe." She saw the porch light burning and she leaned against the door for a moment, relieved to be in the safety of her home. She glanced out the window to see if anyone was there. The sidewalk was empty.

After tossing her books on the sofa, she decided to grab a snack and get on-line . She logged on under her screen name ByAngel213. She checked her Buddy List and saw GoTo123 was on. She sent him an instant message:

ByAngel213:
Hi. I'm glad you are on! I thought someone was following me home today. It was really weird!

GoTo123:
LOL You watch too much TV. Why would someone be following you? Don't you live in a safe neighborhood?

ByAngel213:
Of course I do. LOL I guess it was my imagination cuz' I didn't see anybody when I looked out.

GoTo123:
Unless you gave your name out on-line. You haven't done that have you?

ByAngel213:
Of course not. I'm not stupid you know.

GoTo123:
Did you have a softball game after school today?

ByAngel213:
Yes and we won!!

GoTo123:
That's great! Who did you play?

ByAngel213:
We played the Hornets. LOL. Their uniforms are so gross! They look like bees. LOL

GoTo123:
What is your team called?

ByAngel213:
We are the Canton Cats. We have tiger paws on our uniforms. They are really cool.

GoTo123:
Did you pitch?

ByAngel213:
No I play second base. I got to go. My homework has to be done before my parents get home. I don't want them mad at me. Bye!

GoTo123:
Catch you later. Bye

Meanwhile......GoTo123 went to the member menu and began to search for her profile. When it cam! e up, he highlighted it and printed it out. He took out a pen and began to write down what he knew about Angel so far.

Her name: Shannon
Birthday: Jan. 3, 1985
Age: 13
State where she lived: North Carolina

Hobbies: softball, chorus, skating and going to the mall.
Besides this information, he knew she lived in Canton because she had just told him. He knew she stayed by herself until 6:30 p.m. every afternoon until her parents came home from work. He knew she played softball on Thursday afternoons on the school team, and the team was named the Canton Cats. Her favorite number 7 was printed on her jersey. He knew she was in the eighth grade at the Canton Junior High School. She had told him all this in the conversations they had on- line. He had enough information to find her now.

Shannon didn't tell her parents about the incident on the way home from the ballpark that day. She didn't want them to make a scene and stop her from walking home from the softball games. Parents were always overreacting and hers were the worst. It made her wish she was not an only child. Maybe if she had brothers and sisters, her parents wouldn't be so overprotective.

By Thursday, Shannon had forgotten about the footsteps following her.

Her game was in full swing when suddenly she felt someone staring at her. It was then that the memory came back. She glanced up from her second base position to see a man watching her closely.

He was leaning against the fence behind first base and he smiled when she looked at him. He didn't look scary and she quickly dismissed the sudden fear she had felt.

After the game, he sat on a bleacher while she talked to the coach. She noticed his smile once again as she walked past him. He nodded and she smiled back. He noticed her name on the back of her shirt. He knew he had found her.

Quietly, he walked a safe distance behind her. It was only a few blocks to Shannon's home, and once he saw where she lived he quickly returned to the park to get his car.

Now he had to wait. He decided to get a bite to eat until the time came to go to Shannon's house. He drove to a fast food restaurant and sat there until time to make his move.

Shannon was in her room later that evening when she heard voices in the living room.

"Shannon, come here," her father called. He sounded upset and she couldn't imagine why. She went into the room to see the man from the ballpark sitting on the sofa.

"Sit down," her father began, "this man has just told us a most interesting story about you."

Shannon sat back. How could he tell her parents anything? She had never seen him before today!

"Do you know who I am, Shannon?" the man asked.

"No," Shannon answered.

"I am a police officer and your online friend, GoTo123."

Shannon was stunned. "That's impossible! GoTo is a kid my age! He's 14. And he lives in Michigan!"

The man smiled. "I know I told you all that, but it wasn't true. You see, Shannon, there are people on-line who pretend to be kids; I was one of them. But while others do it to injure kids and hurt them, I belong to a group of parents who do it to protect kids from predators. I came here to find you to teach you how dangerous it is to talk to people on-line. You told me enough about yourself to make it easy for me to find you. You name the school you went to, the name of your ball team and the position you played. The number and name on your jersey just made finding you a breeze."

Shannon was stunned. "You mean you don't live in Michigan?"

He laughed. "No, I live in Raleigh. It made you feel safe to think I was so far away, didn't it?"

She nodded.

"I had a friend whose daughter was like you. Only she wasn't as lucky.

The guy found her and murdered her while she was home alone. Kids are taught not to tell anyone when they are alone, yet they do it all the time on-line. The wrong people trick you into giving out information a little here and there on-line. Before you know it, you have told them enough for them to find you without even realizing you have done it. I hope you've learned a lesson from this and won't do it again. Tell others about this so they will be safe too?"

"It's a promise!"

That night Shannon and her Dad and Mom all knelt down together and thanked God for protecting Shannon from what could have been a tragic situation.

*****NOW*****

Please send this to as many people as you can to teach them not to give any information about them selves. This world we live in today is too dangerous to even give out your age, let alone anything else.

EVEN FORWARD THIS TO PEOPLE WITHOUT KIDS SO THEY CAN SEND IT TO FRIENDS THAT DO HAVE CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN

Are you driving too fast??

If you drive anything that would look like this, then you are driving way too fast, slow it down!!

My Name Is Meth!

My Name Is Meth!

I destroy homes, I tear families apart,
take your children, and that's just the start.

I'm more costly than diamonds, more precious than gold,

The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.

If you need me, remember I'm easily
found,

I live all around you - in schools and in town

I live with the rich; I live with the poor,

I live down the street, and maybe next door.

I'm made in a lab, but not like you think,

I can be made under the kitchen sink.

In your child's closet, and even in the woods,

If this scares you to death, well it certainly should.

I have many names, but there's one you know best,

I'm sure you've heard of me, my name is crystal meth.

My power is awesome; try me you'll see,

But if you do, you may never break free.

Just try me once and I might let you go,

But try me twice, and I'll own your soul.

When I possess you, you'll steal and you'll lie,

You do what you have to -- just to get high.

The crimes you'll commit for my narcotic charms

Will be worth the pleasure you'll feel in your arms,

your lungs, your nose.

You'll lie to your mother; you'll steal from your dad,

When you see their tears, you should feel sad.

But you'll forget your morals and how you were raised,

I'll be your conscience, I'll teach you my ways.

I take kids from parents, and parents from kids,

I turn people from God, and separate friends.

I'll take everything from you, your looks and your pride,

I'll be with you always -- right by your side.

You'll give up everything - your family, your home,

Your friends, your money, then you'll be alone.

I'll take and take, till you have nothing more to give,

When I'm finished with you, you'll be lucky to live.

If you try me be warned - this is no game,

If given the chance, I'll drive you insane.

I'll ravish your body, I'll control your mind,

I'll own you completely, your soul will be mine.

The nightmares I'll give you while lying in bed,

The voices you'll hear, from inside your head.

The sweats, the shakes, the visions you'll see,

I want you to know, these are all gifts from me.

But then it's too late, and you'll know in your heart,

That you are mine, and we shall not part.

You'll regret that you tried me, they always do,

But you came to me, not I to you.

You knew this would happen, many times you were told,

But you challenged my power, and chose to be bold.

You could have said no, and just walked away,

If you could live that day over, now what would you say?

I'll be your master, you will be my slave,

I'll even go with you, when you go to your grave.

Now that you have met me, what will you do?

Will you try me or not? It's all up to you.

I can bring you more misery than words can tell,

Come take my hand, let me lead you to hell.

Heaven's Grocery Store

As I was walking
down life's highway
many years ago

I came upon a
sign that read

Heavens Grocery Store.

When I got a
little closer

the doors swung
open wide

And when I came
to myself

I was standing
inside.

I saw a host of
angels.

They were
standing everywhere

One handed me a
basket

and said "My
child shop with care."

Everything a
human needed

was in that
grocery store

And what you
could not carry

you could come
back for more

First I got some
Patience.

Love was in that
same row.

Further down was
Understanding,

you need that
everywhere you go.

I got a box or
two of Wisdom

and Faith a bag
or two.

And Charity of
course

I would need some
of that too.

I couldn't miss
the Holy Ghost

It was all over
the place.

And then some
Strength

and Courage to
help me run this race.

My basket was
getting full

but I remembered
I needed Grace,

And then I chose
Salvation for

Salvation was for
free

I tried to get
enough of that to do

for you and me.

Then I started to
the counter

to pay my grocery
bill,

For I thought I
had everything

to do the Masters
will.

As I went up the
aisle

I saw Prayer and
put that in,

For I knew when I
stepped outside

I would run into
sin.

Peace and Joy
were plentiful,

the last things
on the shelf.

Song and Praise
were hanging near

so I just helped
myself.

Then I said to
the angel

"Now how much do
I owe?"

He smiled and
said

"Just take them
everywhere you go."

Again I asked
"Really now,

How much do I
owe?"

"My child" he
said, "God paid your bill

a long long time
ago."

Why God?

WOW, WHAT A WAKEUP!

Dear God:

Why didn't you save the school children at ?. ..

-----------------------------------------------------

Reply:

Dear Concerned Student:

I am not allowed in schools.

Sincerely,

God

----------------------------------------------------------

How did this get started?...

-----------------

Let's see,
I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained
she didn't want any prayer in our schools.

And we said, OK..

------------------

Then,
someone said you better not read the Bible in school,
the Bible that says
"thou shalt not kill,
thou shalt not steal,
and love your neighbors as yourself,"

And we said, OK...

-----------------

Dr. Benjamin Spock said
we shouldn't spank our children
when they misbehaved
because their little personalities
would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.

And we said,
an expert should know what he's talking about
so we won't spank them anymore..

------------------

Then someone said
teachers and principals better not
discipline our children when they misbehave.
And the school administrators said
no faculty member in this school
better touch a student when they misbehave
because we don't want any bad publicity,
and we surely don't want to be sued.

And we accepted their reasoning...

------------------

Then someone said,
let's let our daughters have abortions if they want,
and they won't even have to tell their parents.

And we said, that's a grand idea...

------------------

Then some wise school board member said,
since boys will be boys
and they're going to do it anyway,
let's give our sons all the condoms they want,
so they can have all the fun they desire,
and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school.

And we said, that's another great idea...

------------------

Then some of our top elected officials said
it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.

And we said,
it doesn't matter what anybody,
including the President,
does in private as long as we have jobs and the economy is
good....

------------------

And someone else took that appreciation a step further
and published pictures of nude children
and then stepped further still by
making them available on the Internet.

And we said, everyone's entitled to free speech....

------------------

And the entertainment industry said,
let's make TV shows and movies that promote
profanity, violence and illicit sex...
And let's record music that encourages
rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes...

And we said,
it's just entertainment
and it has no adverse effect
and nobody takes it seriously anyway,
so go right ahead.

------------------

Now we're asking ourselves
why our children have no conscience,
why they don't know right from wrong,
and why it doesn't bother them to
kill strangers, classmates or even themselves.

------------------

Undoubtedly,
if we thought about it long and hard enough,
we could figure it out.
I'm sure it has a great deal to do with...

"WE REAP WHAT WE SOW,"

------------------

Pass it on
if you think it has merit!
If not then just discard it...
but if you discard this thought process,
then don't you dare sit back and complain about
what bad shape this country is in!

YES, I'M A BAD AMERICAN

YES, I'M A BAD AMERICAN

by: George Carlin

I Am Your Worst Nightmare. I am a BAD American. I am George Carlin.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some mid level governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!

I'm in touch with my feelings and I like it that way!

I think owning a gun doesn't make you a killer, it makes you a smart American.

I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything.

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, try to do it in English.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and whoever canceled Jerry Springer.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time arguing about it.

I've never owned a slave, or was a slave, I didn't wander forty years in the desert after getting chased out of Egypt. I haven't burned any witches or been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you! So, shut up already.

I want to know which church is it exactly where the Reverend Jesse Jackson practices, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and not the solution.

Can I get an AMEN on that one?

I think cops have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what color you are.

And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my drivers license. I think it's good..... and I'm proud that "God" is written on my money.

I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don't want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.

I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes two parents.

And what is going on with gas prices... again?

If this makes me a BAD American, then yes, I'm a BAD American.

If you are a BAD American too, please forward this to everyone you know.

We need our country back!

We NEED GOD BACK IN OUR COUNTRY!

I would rather live my life as if there is a
God, and die to find out there isn't, Than
live my life as if there isn't, and die to
find out there is.

Are We Living In The Last Days?,Part 9

Are We Living In The Last Days? Let’s look at what the Bible says about the end times and what we shall expect in the Last Days.Part 9

Matthew 24:12,37-39

24:12 says,And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

My Bible Study Notes written by Donald C.Stamps says,An unbelievable increase in immorality, shamelessness, rebellion against God,and a casting off of moral restraint will characterize the last days.Sexual perversion, fornication, adultery, pornography, drugs, ungodly music, and lustful entertainment will abound. It will be "as the days of Noe" (v.37),when the very imaginations of human hearts were evil continually (Gen.6:5).Jesus goes on to indicate that true love will be in short supply.

24:37 says,But as the days of noe were,so shall also the Coming of the Son of man be.

24:38 says,For as in the days that were before the Flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

24:39 says,And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away;so shall also the coming of the son of man be.(Luke 17:26-30)

Are We Living In The Last Days?,Part 8

Are We Living In The Last Days? Let’s look at what the Bible says about the end times and what we shall expect in the Last Days.Part 8

2 Peter 2:1-3;3:3-4

2:1 says,BUT THERE were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you,who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2:2 says,And many shall follow their pernicious ways,by reason of whom the way of truth shall be spoken of.

My Study Bible notes written by Donald C.Stamps says,Many professed believers will follow these false preachers and their "pernicious " (i.e.,sexually immoral) ways.Because of the sinful lifestyles of the leaders and their followers,God and His gospel will be put to shame (2 Tim.4:3-4).

2:3 says,And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you:whose judgement now of a long time lingereth not,and their damnation slumberth not.

3:3-4 (3) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,(4)And saying, where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

False teachers will deny that Christ will return to destroy the ungodly and the world (Rev.19:11-21)

Are We Living In The Last Days?, Part 7,The answer to that is yes, especially when churches begin rating their services as PG-13 or actually Rated R

There's a right way and a wrong way in preaching about sex.A God-Fearing preacher (where are all the God-Fearing preachers by the way??) has absolutely no business in having such an explicit sermon title and has no business in preaching explicitally about sex.The Bible plainly teaches us that there is a time and a place for everything, and the church is not that place. Are we living in the last days?? When churches begin rating their churches as PG-13 or rater R,you better believe we are living in the last days! A church House at least a true Godly church if it is to be rated at all,it should be rated G,in other words for all audiences. Also the Bible tells us that the husband is the head of the wife just like Christ is the head of the church. So therefore,by saying that,it is left up to the husband to discuss sex with his wife where it ought to be discussed and that is in the home.Thank you!!

Are We Living In The Last Days?,Part 6

Are We Living In The Last Days? Let’s look at what the Bible says about the end times and what we shall expect in the Last Days.Part 6

2Timothy 3:1,13;4:3-4 says,
3:1) THIS KNOW also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

My Study Bible notes written by Donald C.Stamps says,The last days include the entire Christian era.Yet Paul prophesies through the Holy Spirit(1Tim.4:1) that things will become worse as the end approaches(2 Pet.3:3;1 John 2:18;Jude 17-18 . The last days will be marked by ever-increasing wickedness in the world,a collapse of moral standards, and the multiplying of false believers and churches within the Kingdom of God (Mat.24:11-12;1 Tim.4:1).These times will be especially grievous trying for God's true servants.

2 Timothy 3:13 says,But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 says,3)For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;4)And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

It sounds like the world we are living in today doesn't it? Tell me what you think

My Bible Study notes written by Donald C.Stamps says,Many professed believers will follow these false preachers and their “pernicious”(i.e.,sexually immoral) ways.Because of the sinful lifestyles of the leaders and their followers,God and His gospel will be put to shame (2 Tim.4:3-4).

3) And through covetousness shall they with feigned words and merchandise of you;whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not,and their damnation slumbereth not.

3:3-4 says,3) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4) And saying, where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

False teachers will deny that Christ will return to destroy the ungodly and the world (Rev.19:11-21).

2 Tim.3:1,13) 4:3-4 3:1 says,THIS KNOW also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

My Study Bible notes written by Donald C.Stamps says,The last days include the entire Christian era.Yet Paul prophesies through the Holy Spirit (1 Tim.4:1),that things will become worse as the end approaches (2 Pet.3:3),1 John 2:1 ,(Jude 17-1 .The last days will be marked by ever-increasing wickedness in the world,a collapse of moral standards, and the multiplying of false believers and churches within the Kingdom of God (Mat.24:11-12),(1 Tim.4:1).These times will be especially grievous trying for God’s true servants.

2 Tim.3:13 says,But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

2 Tim.4:3-4 says, 3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Are We Living In The Last Days? Part 2

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JON"S NOTES:

Are We Living In The Last Days? Let’s look at what the Bible says about the end times and what we shall expect in the Last Days.Part 2

1Timothy 4:1 Now The Spirit speaketh expressly,that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,giving heed to seducing spirits,and doctrines of devils;

My Study Bible Notes written by Donald C.Stamps says,The Holy Spirit has explicity revealed that in the latter times, there will be a falling away both from a personal faith in Jesus Christ and from Scriptual truth (2 Thess.2:3;Jude 3-4).

(1) There will appear within the church ministers who are highly gifted and mightily anointed by God.Some will accomplish great things for God and preach gospel truth effectively, but they will depart from the faith and gradually turn to seducting spirits and false doctrines.Because of their former anointing and zeal for God,they will mislead many.

Many believers will fall away from the faith because they will fail to love the truth (2 Thess.2:10) and resist the sinful trends of the last days (Mat.24:5,10-12;
2 Timothy 3:2-3).Thus,the distorted gospel of compromising ministers and educators will find little resistance in many churches 2Tim.3:5; 4:3),(2 Cor.11:13).

Matthew 24:4-5,10-11,24

4) And Jesus answered and said unto them,Take heed that no man deceive you.

5)For many shall come in my name, saying,I am Christ;and shall deceive many.

10)And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11)And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

24)For there shall arise false christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wanders;insomuch that,if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.Neverless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

My Study Bible notes which is written by Donald C.Stamps says,When Jesus returns for those who cry unto Him day and night (v.7),He will put an end to their distress, suffering, and persecution received at the hands of a hostile and evil world, and He will take them to Himself (John 14:2-3),At His coming, the faithful of His churches will be “caught up (or snatched away)…in the clouds,to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thess.4:17).Then God will administer His justice and wrath on the wicked (1Thess.5:2-3,9).

2 Thess.2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means:for that day shall not come,except there come a falling away first,and that man of sin be revealed,the son of perdition;

Maidens of Virtue or Hussies on Parade?

http://www.sliceoflaodicea.com/archives/2006/04/maidens_of_virt.php

The following story I found at the above site Slice of Laodicea.I agree 110% with Ingrid!! Christian women needs to act like Christian women, talk like Christian women, dress like Christian women, walk like Christian women, sing like Christian women and lastly but not least,BE CHRISTIAN WOMEN!!I watched their online videos and what I seen they didn't look like Christian women!,the way they danced and prounced around. What I seen looked like mockery to me.

Now then,I am NOT picking on Christian women,I believe the same should be true about men!!,Men should be all those things as well.Men should dress like MEN!!,in other words, they should NOT go half naked as well. They should not go out in public without a shirt on.

If you click on the above link you will find numerous of comments on this issue from people who are Christians that are taking up for these immoral singers.

They are Christians that will take up for almost anything because they think that Christians shouldn't get involved.

So tell me what you think?

To Each His Own

I cannot change the way I am;
I never really try.
God made me different and unique;
I never ask Him why.

If I appear peculiar,
There's nothing I can do.
You must accept me as I am,
As I've accepted you.

God made a casting of each life,
Then threw the old away.
Each child is different from the rest,
Unlike as night from day.

So often we will criticize
The things that others do,
But, do you know, they do not think
The same as me and you.

So God, in all his wisdom,
Who knows us all by name,
Didn't want us to be bored,
That's why we're not the same.

What does Love mean? Well, let's hear what kids think it means.

This is so deep!

Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it.
Touching words from the mouth of babes.

What does Love mean?

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of
4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could
have imagined. See what you think:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and
paint her toenails anymore.

So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his
hands got arthritis too. That's love."

My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they
kiss"

Emily - age 8

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop
opening presents and listen."

Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a
friend who you don't like, then you will know what love is,"

Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

still friends even after they know each other so well."

Tommy - age 6

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I
looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and
smiling.

He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."

Cindy - age 8

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

"My mommy loves me more than anybody ..

You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night."

little
stars come out of you." (what an image)

Karen - age 7

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But
if
you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."

Jessica - age 8

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once
talked about a contest he was asked to judge.

The purpose of the contest was to find the most! caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor
was
an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old
gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the
little boy said,

"Nothing, I just helped him cry"

Putting Life into perspective

People always say how mean kids can be, never how nice they can be. This story will either make you cry, give you cold chills or just leave you cold, but it puts life into perspective!

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning-disabled children, the father of one of the school's students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all that attended.

After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question.
"Everything God does is done with perfection. Yet, my son Shay cannot learn things as other children do.
He cannot understand things as other children do.

Where is God's plan reflected in my son?" The audience was stilled by the query. The father continued.
"I believe," the father answered, "that when
God brings a child like Shay into the world, an opportunity to realize the ! Divine Plan presents itself and it comes in the way people treat that child."

Then, he told the following story:

Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked,
"Do you think they will let me play?" Shay's father knew that the boys would not want him on their team. But the father understood that if his son were allowed to play it
would give him much-needed sense of belonging.
Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance from his teammates. Getting none, he took matters into his own hands and said, "We are losing by six runs, and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him up to bat in the ninth inning."
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was s till behind by three. At the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the outfield.! Although no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base. Shay was scheduled to be the next at-bat. Would the team actually let Shay bat at this%2
