The Mayonnaise Jar and 2 Cups of Coffee

When things in your lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24
hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2
cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in
front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very
large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf
balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed
that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into
the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open
areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if
the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the
jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once
more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous
"yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table
and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the
empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the
important things---God, your family, your children, your health,
your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was
lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your
house and your car.

The sand is everything else---the small stuff. "If you put the sand
into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles
or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your
time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the
things that are important to you.

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take
your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be
time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf
balls first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities.
The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee
represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

The Homeless Man

The following is an e-mail that I have received, thought that you all might like it.

This will certainly make you stop and think. You never
know what a
kind word, a phone call, or an impromptu visit will do for someone
else.

It was a cold winter's day that Sunday. The parking lot to the
church was filling up quickly. I noticed as I got out of my car
that fellow church members were whispering among themselves as they
walked to the church.
As I got closer I saw a man leaned up against the wall outside the
church. He was almost laying down as if he was asleep. He had on a
long trench coat that was almost in shreds and a hat topped his
head, pulled down so you could not see his face. He wore shoes that
looked 30 years old, too small for his feet with holes all over
them, his toes stuck out. I assumed this man was homeless, and
asleep, so I walked on by through the doors of the church.
We all gathered for fellowship for a few minutes, and someone
brought up the man laying outside. People snickered and gossiped
but no one
bothered to ask him to come in, including me. A few moments later
church began.. We all waited for the Preacher to take his place and
to give us the Word, when the doors to the church opened. In came the homeless man
walking down the aisle with his head down. People gasped and
whispered and made faces. He made his way down the aisle and up
onto the pulpit he took off his hat and coat. My heart
sank. There stood our preacher...he was the "homeless man." No one
said a word.. . The preacher took his Bible and laid it on the
stand. "Folks, I don't think I have to tell you what I am preaching
about today." Then he
started singing the words to this song: "If I can help somebody as
I pass along. If I can cheer somebody with word or song. If I can
show somebody that he's traveling wrong. Then my living shall not
be in vain."

God's Holy Alphabet

God's Holy Alphabet

This is the best..... The Holy Alphabet... This is Beautiful

Whoever came up with this one must have had some Divine guidance!

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
J oy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
X alting God most high
Y es, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but...
Z ion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!

"I AM Too blessed to be stressed!" The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor.
The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything. Love and peace be with you forever, Amen.

PS: GOD LOVES YOU...PASS THE WORD ON TO MORE FRIENDS AND ASK THEM TO CONTINUE TELLING OTHERS THAT GOD LOVES THEM TOO. JUST THINK OF HOW MANY PEOPLE THAT COULD BE REACHED OUT TO AND BLESSED WITH THESE WORDS

FWD:A prayer we should say every day

A prayer we should say every day

Dear Lord,
I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see
and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and
an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on
blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or
thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day
with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each
and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me
continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil.. And
when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and
receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example -to
slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm
pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my
heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong
that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of
encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find
their way. I pray for
those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't
know You intimately. I pray for those that will delete this without
sharing it with others. I pray for those that don't believe. But I thank
you that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all
my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their
households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are
out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem,
circumstance, or situation greater than God.. Every battle is in Your
hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the
hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them
willingly.

This is my prayer.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Continued on Abortion

Before going any further,if any woman or girl who is reading this, there is forgiveness.God is NOT a respector of persons. He loves you just as much as anyone-else.But you must want his forgiveness.John 3:16

Here is a hard-working man with a happy, big family.sure, they can only have one car.Sure, they have to scrape and save as did almost all of us.But every child can go on and finish high-school.Some of the girls perhaps earn money from babysitting;some boys will carry paper routes. And any ambitious and gifted among them can work their way through college. But all the "Planned Parenthood" dogooders, socialists, all insist on teaching that woman that should be sterilized;oh,it would be a crime to have another baby! How can she give it the luxuries that rich people give their children! And so people are taught that what God gives is abominable and the blessing is despised and virtue in America flees away.

Abortion, and The Diary of an Unborn Fetus

The Diary Of A Fetus.

Abortion is MURDER!

Diary of a Fetus

Oct 5: Today my life began. My parents do not know it yet.I am as small as the pollen of a flower, but it is I already.I will be a girl.I will have blond hair and blue eyes.Nearly everything is settled already, even that I shall love flowers.

Oct 19: I have grown a little, but I am still too small to do anything by myself. My Mother does almost everything for me,though she still does not know that she is carrying me under her heart. But,is it true that I am not yet a real person? That only my mother exists? I am a real person, just as a small crumb of bread is still real bread. My mother is,and so am I.

Oct 23: My mouth is just now beginning to open.Just think-in a year or so I'll be laughing;and later I'll start to talk.My first word will be "mama".

Oct 25: Today my heart began to beat.It will beat softly for the rest of my life, never stopping;after many years it will tire,it will stop, and then I shall die.

Nov 2: I am growing continually. My arms and legs are taking shape, but I must wait a long time before these tiny legs will raise me to my mother's arms;before these little arms will be able to conquer the earth and befriend people.

Nov 12: Tiny fingers are beginning to form on my hands. How small they are;one day I'll stroke my mother's hair to my mouth and she'll say,"oh,dirty".

Nov 20: Only today the doctor told my mother that I am living here under her heart. How happy she must be.Are you happy,Mother?

Nov 25: My mother and father are probably thinking of a name for me;and they don't even know that I am a little girl,so they are probably calling me "Andy". But I want to be called Barbara.I am growing so big.

Dec 10: My hair is growing. It is as bright and shiny as the sun.I wander what kind of hair my mother has?

Dec 13: I am almost able to see, though it is night around me.When mother brings me into the world,it will be full of sun shine and overflowing with flowers.I have never seen a flower you know, but more than anything,I want to see my mother. How do you look,Mother?

Dec 24: I wander if my mother hears the delicate beat of my heart? Some children are born with sickly hearts, and then the gentle fingers of the doctor perform miracles to make them healthy. But my heart is healthy. It beats evenly: Tup-tup,tup-tup. You shall have a healty daughter,Mother.

Dec 28: Today,my mother killed me.

Amazing Issue with Target Stores

(This is an older post that was on my other site,I will be transferring some of those posts onto this site and will be deleting that site in the near future. This was an FWD:email that I had received.)
Amazing Issue with Target Stores

If they have a good sale in their ads, take the ad to
Walmart, where they will meet the price...............

Dick Forrey of the Vietnam Veterans Association wrote.

"Recently we asked the local TARGET store to be a proud
sponsor of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall during our
spring recognition event. We received the following reply
from the local TARGET management: 'Veterans do not meet our
area of giving. We only donate to the arts, social action
groups, gay & lesbian causes, and education.' "

So I'm thinking, if the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and
veterans in general do not meet their donation criteria,
then something is really wrong at this TARGET store We were
not asking for thousands of dollars, not even hundreds, just
a small sponsorship for a memorial remembrance.

As a follow-up, I E-mailed the TARGET U.S. corporate
headquarters and their response was the same. That's their

national policy.

Then I looked into the company further They will not allow

the Marines to collect for 'Toys for Tots' at any of their
stores. And during the recent Iraq deployment, they would
not allow families of employees who were called up for

active duty to continue their insurance coverage while
they were on military service. Then as I dig further, TARGET
is a French-owned corporation.

Now, I'm thinking again. If TARGET cannot support American
Veterans, then why should my family and I support their
stores by spending our hard earned American dollars and
to have their profits sent to France. Without the American
Vets, where would France be today?"

Sincerely,
Dick Forrey
